Overview
These STACK Quick Start assemblies serve multiple tradesmen in Division 9. Technically some overlap into other divisions since many of our users who work with walls and ceilings do work in 6, 7 and 9.

2x2 ACT - Area, 2x4 ACT - Area
Summary: There are two ACT assemblies, both identical aside from the ceiling tile items and the formulas for the grid. They are designed for Area takeoffs.

Required Items:
These items will be automatically added to your takeoff.
- ACT Labor – per square foot.
- ACT Support Wire – total rolls.
- ACT 2’ and 4’ Cross Tees – calculation depending on ceiling tile size.
- 2x2 ACT, 2x4 ACT – ceiling tile items, total pieces.
- ACT Wall Molding – based on linear footage of your takeoff.

Carpet - Area
Summary: This assembly is designed for Area takeoffs.
Variables: There are no variables in this assembly.
Required Items:

- Carpet – in Square Yards.
- Carpet Pad – in Square Yards.
- Carpet Adhesive – by the gallon.
- Flooring Labor – by the Square Foot.

Cove Base - Linear
Summary: This assembly is designed for Linear takeoffs.
Variables: There are no variables in this assembly.

Vinyl Flooring - Area
Summary: This assembly is designed for Area takeoffs.
Variables: There are no variables in this assembly.
Required Items:

- Vinyl Adhesive – in gallons.
- Flooring Labor – by the Square Foot.

09 Finishes – Framing, Drywall, Insulation
Ceilings – 2x6 Frame, Drywall - Area and Ceilings – 2x8 Frame, Drywall - Area
Summary: There are two assemblies for wood framed ceilings. The choice of lumber is the only difference. These assemblies are designed for Area takeoffs. They will only work if you are measuring a rectangular area with consistent joist spans and spacing.
Variables:
- Joist Span Feet – Enter the length of the joists in feet. This will not determine the lumber item you choose, rather the joist count.
- Joist Spacing Inches – To determine the joist count.
Required Items:
These items will be automatically added to your takeoff.
- Drywall Labor – per square foot.
- Joint Treatment Tape – total rolls.
- Joint Compound – total number of 5 gallon buckets.
- Drywall Screws – total number of 40 lb. boxes.
- Wood Framing Labor (sf) - per square foot (note this is a different item than found in wall framing assemblies).
Item Groups:
These groups contain a selection of items to choose if needed.
- Choose Joists – A selection of lumber from 8’-20’ long, 2x6 or 2x8 depending on the assembly.
- Choose Drywall – A selection of drywall from ½"-5/8” and 8’, 9’, 10’ or 12’ long.
Ceilings – Metal Frame, Drywall
Summary: This assembly is for metal framing and drywall in a ceiling and is designed for Area takeoffs. It will only work if you are measuring a rectangular area with consistent U- and Hat-Channel lengths and spacing.
Variables:
- U Channel Spacing Inches – To determine amount of hanging wire and channel piece count.
- Hat Channel Spacing Inches – To determine the channel piece count.
Required Items:
These items will be automatically added to your takeoff.
- Hat Channel – as 10’ pieces.
- U Channel – as 10’ pieces.
- Hanger Wire – in bundles.
- Metal Framing Ceiling Labor – in square feet.
- Joint Compound – in 5 gallon buckets.
- Drywall Labor – in square feet.
- Joint Treatment Tape – total rolls.
- Drywall Screws – total number of 40lb. boxes.
Item Groups:

- Choose Bottom Plate – A choice of lumber from 10’ to 16’ long either 2x4 or 2x6 depending on the assembly with pressure treated as an option. The formula assumes 1 bottom plate in the wall.
- Choose Drywall – A selection of drywall from ½"-5/8” and 8’, 9’, 10’ or 12’ long.

- Sides Of Wall To Paint – Choose 1 or 2 to determine an exterior or interior wall, used to calculate all items in this assembly.
