We know prospective projects are coming to you from various external sources. It can be cumbersome and time-consuming to go back and forth between STACK and the original source to manually create a project in STACK, so we've made it easy to connect to some of these external sources directly in STACK and quickly create a STACK project that automatically populates with basic project info from the external source project.

    How It Works

First, you have to set up a connection/integration in STACK to each external source you want to access. This setup only has to be done once. Then you're able to search a list of any projects you have access to in the external source directly in STACK and select a listed project for import to STACK. When you import the project, it creates a new project in STACK automatically populated with basic project data from the external source project.

After the project is created in STACK, you can enter additional project information, assign specific account users and offices to the project, make the project Private if needed, and proceed with your takeoff and estimating process just like any project you manually create in STACK.

    What to Know:

    • You must set up the connection/integration to each external source you want to connect to in STACK before you can create a project from that source in STACK. The setup is a one-time process.
    • You must have an account with the external source in order to set up a connection/integration with that source in STACK.
    • Only STACK users with a role/permissions to access Account Settings can set up an external source connection/integration.
    • Any STACK user with a role/permissions to create projects can create a project from an external source once the connection/integration has been set up.
    • Only the projects (not leads, opportunities, etc.) that you have permission to access in the external source account will be available for you to select in STACK.
    • When you create a project in STACK from an external source, it is a one-time transfer of data.
If the project is updated by the external source after the project is created in STACK, those changes are NOT transferred/updated in STACK.
    • The amount/type of data transferred to STACK when you create a new project from an external source depends on the selected external source. (See Supported External Sources section for a list of data supplied from a specific source.)

    Supported External Sources

NOTE: We will quickly be growing the number of supported external sources but at this time, Acumatica is the only supported external source. Check back often.

    Acumatica

You can only create projects in STACK from the Projects and Opportunities (not leads, etc.) that you have permission to access in Acumatica.

This Acumatica data will be transferred to STACK:
